Diablo II: Resurrected
About
Diablo II: Resurrected is a remaster of the 2001 classic, preserving the original gameplay while improving graphics and quality-of-life features. The ladder (competitive mode) starts new seasons through periodic resets.
Season Structure
The ladder generally resets every three to six months; the actual median interval we track is about 105 days. Ladder-only runewords and items cannot be transferred to non-ladder. It runs in four modes: standard ladder, hardcore ladder, solo self-found (SSF) ladder, and hardcore SSF ladder.
How to Check Schedules
Do not use weekday inference for this one. Across the 14 ladders we track, starts split seven Saturdays, five Fridays, and two Thursdays — the weekday alone will not narrow anything. The cadence is more useful: a 105-day median interval with a coefficient of variation of 0.241, which is both shorter and steadier than the commonly cited 'about six months'. Plan against six months and you will consistently prepare a month late. The first Baal and Diablo kill races right after a reset are the liveliest stretch in this community, so if you intend to take part, clear your calendar for reset day in advance.
Season History
Inheriting the ladder system of the 2001 original, Diablo II: Resurrected has recorded 14 ladder seasons since the remastered ladder began in 2022. Our tracked median ladder length is about 105 days, and the most recent completed run, Ladder Season 13, lasted 91 days. Each reset revives the original's runeword-and-farming culture as a fresh race.
Who It's For
If you miss the classic feel of assembling runewords and farming for drops, this is the place. It especially rewards players who prefer a long, unhurried ladder rhythm, or who want to raise the stakes with challenge modes like hardcore and SSF.
