Not every ARPG runs purely on seasons — and within a single game the record types mix. We set out how 234 confirmed records (of 237 rows across 13 tracked games, as of 19 July 2026) split into 223 seasons, 6 updates, and 5 expansions, name which game each non-season record belongs to, and publish the gaps that remain.

We tested the 'seasons run about three months' assumption against 237 records across the 13 games tracked as of 19 July 2026. Among the 11 games where a cycle could be computed, median cycles scatter from 28 days to 178. The corpus-wide median sits at 13.1 weeks (92 days), and every figure is published with its sample size and observation window.

Two games can share an average cycle and still feel nothing alike if their variance differs. Using the 216 intervals derivable from the 13 games and 237 rows held as of 19 July 2026, we computed a coefficient of variation for each. The conclusion here is not 'who ranks first', though — the top of that ranking is occupied by a game with four data points, which makes the ordering itself untrustworthy. What follows is about what the deep-sample games actually tell you, and about when this metric stops measuring a game's regularity and starts measuring holes in our own records.

Comparing each game's four most recent cycles against everything prior as of 19 July 2026, Diablo IV tightened from 88 days to 70 while Path of Exile stretched from 109 to 182. Over the same period our corpus-wide 25th percentile collapsed from 13.0 weeks to 8.0 — but that is a change in sample composition, not a trend, and we show exactly why. Games without enough prior samples are excluded as 'no trend determinable'.

We counted the start weekday of all 234 confirmed records across the 13 games and 237 rows held as of 19 July 2026. Friday leads with 73 and Thursday follows at 69 — a two-horse race. But 48 of those 69 Thursdays come from a single title, Diablo Immortal. Take that one game out and Thursday drops to 21 while Friday's 73 stands alone again.
