About

No Rest for the Wicked is an action RPG by Austria's Moon Studios, known for the Ori series. With a distinctive hand-painted art style and weighty, soulslike-inspired combat, it pursues a different combat rhythm from traditional ARPGs. Launched in Steam Early Access in 2024, it is approaching its 1.0 full release in 2026.

Season Structure

No Rest for the Wicked is currently in Early Access, and the concrete structure of its content-update system is expected to be finalized after the 1.0 full release (planned for 2026; we have not confirmed a specific date against a primary source). The 1.0 launch will add 60-plus hours of new content, a new horde mode, and a redesigned class system, with PS5 crossplay and cross-save. Its season structure will be reflected here as soon as it is announced.

How to Check Schedules

There is no season structure here yet, so we track this game differently. The four entries we hold are major updates rather than seasons, and they carry no end date — an Early Access update does not remove earlier content when the next one lands, so 'ending' does not apply. That is why this title sits outside our cycle statistics and forecasts. Once a season structure is announced alongside the 1.0 release, we will reclassify it and fold it into the cadence aggregates. Until then, read the dates on this page as a record of when each update shipped, not as a schedule.

Season History

No Rest for the Wicked has not settled into a regular season structure yet, but it has steadily stacked up substantial updates since its 2024 Early Access debut. The trail runs through The Crucible (July 2024), The Breach (April 2025), and Together (January 2026), and the concrete shape of its content cycle is expected to firm up alongside the 1.0 full release planned for 2026.

Who It's For

It is worth a look if you prefer weighty, soulslike-flavored combat. It especially suits players drawn to its painterly, hand-painted art, or who enjoy watching a game take shape on the road to its full release.
